What BW8009 delivers inside primer systems

Use BW8009 when concrete or mineral substrates need a two-component primer with high coverage, strong penetration, substrate sealing and reliable bonding before the next coating layer.

  • Two-component primer chemistryPart A and Part B are mixed at 3:2 by volume for concrete sealing and penetration work.
  • High penetrationExcellent wet-out helps infiltrate substrate surface pinholes and repair small defects before the coating build-up.
  • High coverage planningThe listed theoretical coverage converts to about 11.1 m2/kg at the 50 µm reference film thickness.
  • Moisture and air sealingThe primer helps seal moisture and air on the substrate surface to support the whole coating system.
  • Adhesion improvementThe data sheet lists 3.5 MPa dry concrete adhesion or substrate broken, helping the next coating bond to the base.
  • Concrete and mineral substratesTypical substrates include concrete, marble, ceramic tiles and wood after proper cleaning and preparation.
  • Long-term waterproofing supportThe dense primer layer supports anticorrosion, temperature variation resistance and waterproof performance in compatible systems.

High-penetration, high-coverage anchors for concrete primer selection.

Use these values to evaluate BW8009 for concrete wet-out, penetration, coverage efficiency and adhesion stability before polyurea coating systems.

3.5 MPaDry concrete adhesion. Adhesive strength is listed as 3.5 MPa or substrate broken.
-40/+180°CTemperature variation resistance. The physical test table lists 24 h temperature variation resistance as normal.
~11.1 m2/kgCoverage reference. Converted from 0.09 kg/m2 at 50 µm film thickness, one kilogram covers about 11.1 m2 under the listed reference condition.
High penetrationConcrete wet-out. The primer infiltrates pinholes and small surface defects, helping seal residual dust, moisture and air at the substrate surface.

Application scope

Typical use areas for BW8009.

BW8009 is used as a high-penetration primer coating on concrete, marble, ceramic tile and wood substrates before compatible coating systems.

Concrete and mineral substrate sealing

  • Concrete primer coatingFor prepared concrete surfaces where high penetration, efficient coverage, dust consolidation and surface sealing are needed before coating.
  • Marble and ceramic tile substratesFor compatible hard mineral substrates after cleaning, decontamination and adhesion review.
  • Wood substrate primer workFor wood surfaces where a compatible primer layer is required before the selected coating system.

Polyurea system preparation

  • Moisture and air blockingSeals the surface to reduce moisture and air influence at the substrate interface.
  • Next-coat compatibilityImproves the adhesive strength between the coating and the substrate when used in the correct coating system.
  • Quartz sand or quartz powder additionAfter A/B mixing, the sheet allows mixing with quartz sand or quartz powder for use.
