What BW6-189 delivers for joint sealing

The sealant reacts with moisture to form a rubbery elastomer, giving concrete-joint buyers a simpler single-component route for waterproof sealing and leakage reinforcement.

  • Single-component jobsite handlingNo A/B proportioning is listed. Hand scraper or pouring application supports straightforward sealing work on prepared joints.
  • Moisture-curing rubbery elastomerIt reacts with moisture in the atmosphere to form a rubbery elastomer for reliable potting and sealing performance.
  • Adaptable to joint deformationLow modulus, high elasticity and 400% elongation help the sealant adapt to deformation, expansion and settlement joints.
  • Curable in water and no moisture-cure bubblesThe data sheet lists curable in water and no air bubbles during moisture curing, useful for leakage-repair review.
  • Concrete adhesion referenceConcrete-base adhesive strength is listed as 1.3 MPa or substrate broken, supporting substrate-bond review before ordering.
  • Solvent-free and odorlessThe product is described as solvent-free, odorless and no VOCs for projects where application environment matters.

Technical advantages for concrete joint sealing.

Focus on the properties that matter most for sealant selection: ready-to-use handling, movement-joint accommodation, dense curing and elastic deformation-adaptive sealing performance.

1KSingle-component sealant. Ready-to-use one-component sealant for hand scraping, pouring and joint filling without two-component mixing.
400%High elongation. Elongation rate supports movement-joint sealing for expansion joints, deformation joints and settlement joints.
98±2%High solid content. High solid content supports dense curing and waterproof sealing with solvent-free, odorless and no-VOC performance.
1.0 MPa300% tensile modulus. 300% tensile modulus reference for elastic joint movement and deformation-adaptive sealing performance.

Application scope

Typical use areas for BW6-189.

Follow the data sheet application notes for low-temperature use, opened-material handling, gap filling and thick-application layer planning.

Application instructions

GUIDE ITEMINSTRUCTION
Application toolsHand scraper or pouring. Loose concrete surface should be pre-treated and strengthened.
Gap filling methodPour the material into a triangular plastic bag and tie it tightly; cut a 6-15 mm opening at the sharp corner and extrude the material along the gap.
Low-temperature useThis product can be used at -10°C. In low-temperature environments, placing the paint bucket in an air-conditioned room at high temperature for more than 24 h is recommended.
Opened material handlingPour out only as much as can be used at one time. Seal the lid in time and do not pour used liquid back into the original bucket.
Thick applicationIf the application thickness is thick, applying 2 layers is recommended, with each application interval in 6-30 h.
